Baked Tofu with Garlic Basil Tomato Sauce

Salt-free, oil-free, vegan.

7 ounces ?half block? soft tofu
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon finely chopped basil
2 tablespoon finely chopped tomato
½ teaspoon sugar
½ tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Cut tofu to ½-inch rectangular slices. (You’ll get about 6.) Mix garlic, basil, tomato, sugar and balsamic vinegar in a bowl. Place tofu in a baking dish and spread some sauce on each slice. Bake for 10 minutes. Serve as is or on Romaine lettuce.
