This Balsamic Cherry Sauce is easy to make and has a taste reminiscent of caramel sauce.

1/4 pound unsalted butter
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
pinch salt
4 cups cherries, pitted and halved
