Hershey’s Hug Brownie Cookies Recipe

One of my all-time favorite desserts is my Mom’s Chocolate Marshmallow Brownies. There’s nothing like brownies made from scratch! These cookies taste just like a brownie and the Hershey’s Hug on top makes them even better!

½ cup shortening
½ cup butter
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
2½ cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup + 2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 (10 ounce) package Hershey’s Hugs, unwrapped
