Kumquat Nut Squares

No baking, ready in minutes, and full of aroma!

2 cups raw almond
20 fresh kumquat
2 tablespoon maple syrup
2 teaspoon Amaretto or Brandy
20 fresh kumquat

2 teaspoon Amaretto or Brandy
Cut the kumquat into quarters. Remove the seeds.
Put almond, syrup and Ameretto into food processor, blend into a paste. Adjust the amount of Amaretto for desired consistency.
Put the paste into a rectangular pan, press down evenly.
Do not cover, placed in the refrigerator for 12-24 hours.
Take out the pan from the refrigerator. Cut into squares and place in serving plate.
(If you oil the knife blade before cutting; it would make the cuts easy and clean.)
You can decorate the squares with shredded coconut, cacao powder, or kumquat slices.
