Moist Chocolate Cake with Buttercream Icing

This recipe is my family’s go-to chocolate cake recipe. If we ever need to make a birthday cake, cupcakes, or something for a get together this is the recipe we use. I love it because it is versatile. It can be paired with just about any icing flavor imaginable and it would still taste great.

Cake Recipe
Wet Ingredients
1 C Milk
½ C Vegetable Oil
2 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla
2 C Sugar
1 C Hot Coffee
Dry Ingredients
2 C Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
2 tsp Baking Soda
½ tsp Salt
2/3 C Cocoa

Buttercream Recipe
12 oz. Unsalted Butter
8 oz. Margarine
2 tsp Vanilla
4 C Powdered Sugar
