Slab Apple Pie Recipe

I love this slab pie because it can feed the masses . . . and it couldn’t be any easier to throw together! If you are feeling super domestic, you can make the pie crust from scratch (using this crust recipe) or the refrigerated pie crusts work perfectly!

1 (14.1 oz) box refrigerated pie crusts, softened as directed on box (I used Pillsbury)
1 cup white sugar
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon allspice
¼ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3 tablespoons cornstarch
8 cups finely diced apples - I used Granny Smith and Gala (about 8 medium apples - peeling them is optional)
Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
