Light and airy lemon glazed sponge cake is piled high with homemade whipped cream and sweet strawberries.
5 eggs, separated
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 teasoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup + 1 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar, separated
1/3 cup cornstarch
1/3 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
1 pound fresh strawberries, quartered
whipped cream, for topping

1/3 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
1 pound fresh strawberries, quartered

Place the quartered strawberries in a container with 1 1/2 tablespoons of granulated sugar. Let them sit in the fridge for at least an hour
