The Hubby's Favorite Pumpkin Pie

I've "Choppedified" the original recipe. Less fat, sugar, more flavor with the addition of spices and vanilla.

Dry, Bowl Ingredients:
3/4 cup granulated Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground Ginger
1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg

Zing Factor:
1/4 teaspoon ground Clove

Wet, Bowl Ingredients:
2 Whole Large or Extra Large Eggs or 1 Whole and 2 Whites
1 15 oz. can of Pureed Pumpkin…not the pie mix
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 12 fl. oz. can of Low Fat Evaporated Milk

Pastry Shell:
1/2 package (one crust) ready made pie crust. If frozen, defrost in fridge. Of course you’re welcome to make your own. And I applaud your effort if you do!

Zing Factor:
Puff Pastry decorations: 1 sheet puff pastry. Defrosted in the fridge. See package directions. I cut out leaves and placed them all around the crust edge. Then made a few extra and baked them for about 8 minutes on a separate baking sheet. They come in handy for covering up cracks! Shhsh, no one will ever know! ;)
