The Dough:
2 cups scalded milk, cooled
1/2 cup butter flavored shortening
1/4 cup sugar
1 Tbsp salt
2 packets instant yeast
1/2 cup warm water
2 eggs
6 cups flour
The Filling:
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 Tbsp cinnamon
The Frosting:
1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons milk
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
2 cups scalded milk, cooled
1/2 cup butter flavored shortening
1/4 cup sugar
1 Tbsp salt
2 packets instant yeast
1/2 cup warm water
2 eggs
6 cups flour
The Filling:
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 Tbsp cinnamon
The Frosting:
1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons milk
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
First, dissolve the yeast in the 1/2 cup warm water. Add the rest of the dough ingredients to a mixing bowl except for the flour, then the yeast last. Add the flour 2 cups at a time. The dough should be soft and sticky at this point. Set the dough aside, cover and let it rise until double the size (about 1 1/2 hours).
Roll the dough out on a floured surface and roll into a rectangle that's approximately 18" x 12". Spread the prepared filling evenly onto the dough. Roll into a long jelly roll-like tube and use floss to cut 3/4" slices by sliding it underneath the roll, crossing at the top and pulling tight. Place the slices in a greased 13x9 pan and bake at 375 deg F for 20 minutes, or until golden brown on top. Cool for about 10 minutes then top with cream cheese frosting.
