Bacon BBQ Burgers

27

It all starts by mixing your favorite BBQ sauce into the meat, along with some onion and bacon. There is bacon mixed into the burger. And, if that doesn’t get your mouth watering, how about topping the whole thing off with some Monterey Jack cheese and a creamy BBQ aioli (which is really just jazzed up mayo).

4
Burgers:
1 pound ground beef
8 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
1/4 small onion, finely minced
1-1/2 teaspoons steak seasoning (I used McCormick Montreal seasoning)
4 slices Monterey Jack cheese
4 hamburger buns, split

BBQ Aioli:
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
Mix together the aioli ingredients in a small bowl. In another bowl, combine the ground beef, crumbled bacon, 2 tablespoons of the BBQ aioli, onion and steak seasoning. Using your hand, mix until the ingredients are combined, being careful not to over-mix the meat. Shape into four patties. Grill burgers over medium heat for 5-7 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Place a slice of cheese on top of each patty. Cover and cook 1-2 minutes longer or until cheese has melted. Spread remaining BBQ aioli on each side of the buns; add the burger and any other toppings you like. Makes 4 large burgers.
