1 1/4 cup apple cider, you can buy it or use my simple homemade apple cider
2 cups all purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon ground flax + 3 tablespoons water, mixed together, set aside
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

::topping::
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 cup butter, melted
