Baked sour cream doughnut


A moist doughnut with half the calories of a fried one . A new family fave!

1pkg,instant yeast,2 tablespoons warm water.1/4tsp sugar,2cups flour,1 1/4 cup sugar,1 1/2tsp baking powder,1tsp ground nutmeg,1/2tsp salt,2eggs,1cup sour cream,4tbs melted butter,1 1/2tsp vanilla extract.2 tbs cream
1/2 cup salted butter, 1/4 cup milk, 2tbs corn syrup,2 tsp,vanilla,1 1/2cup milk chocolate chips,2 cups icing sugar.
Pre heat oven @350,coat 2 doughnut pans with nonstick spray. In a small bowl sprinkle yeast over warm water with the 1/4tsp sugar,Set aside to blume. In a large bowl mix flour ,sugar,baking powder ,nutmeg and salt. In another small bowl whisk eggs ,yogurt,vanilla,melted butter,2 tbs cream,and yeast mixture. Now pour wet mixture over dry and mix well with a wooden spoon. When incorporated transfer to a large pastry bag or ziplock,snip off the end,and pipe the filling into the prepared pan filling half way to the top. Bake for 12-15 min ,They will be puffed and golden.Leave in pan to cool 5min then transfer to a wire rack. GLAZE - In a glass bowl,add chocolate,corn syrup,milk,&butter.Microwave for 60seconds,take out and stir, microwave again for 60 seconds or until chocolate is melted.Add vanilla and icing sugar and whisk together.Let cool slightly so it wont run right off doughnut when dipped. When ready dip top side of doughnut into icing ,place back on wire rack that has a cookine sheet placed under to catch drips,Decorate wih desired toppings or leave as is.Let sit fo icing to set at least a half hour.
