Basbousa or mush is a delicious Arabic recipe, bring in most of the holidays and special occasions. There are several recipes for Basbousa.

4 cups semolina
3 cups coconut
½ cup sugar
Cup corn oil
Cup milk
Tablespoon Baking powder
Teaspoon vanilla liquid
Pinch of salt
¼ cup lemon juice
2 tbsp lemon zest
Amandes, Grated for decoration
2 Cups Caramel syrup
1. In a bowl whisk semolina, coconut, lemon zest, sugar and the pinch of salt and whisk well, then add the soft corn oil and vanilla liquid then mix well and add the baking powder and lemon juice and gently mix the all together. 2. Rub in the oven dish with corn oil and straighten Basbousa daugh then cut by a sharp knife in the form of cubes, and then decorate with grated almonds. 3. In an oven pre-equipped at high temperature is placed oven dish for 45 minutes. 4. Remove Basbousa from ovenand pour cold caramel syrup.
