Bengali Bhoger Khichdi
Bengali Bhoger Khichdi is the very famous traditional dish made during Durga Puja. 2 cups moong dal (yellow lentils)
3 tbsp green peas
5 cauliflowers florets
2 potatoes ( cut into half )
1 tbsp ghee
2 bay leaves
2 dry red chillies
1 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
1 tbsp mix of cloves, cinnamon and cardamom
2 green chillies
1 tsp finely chopped ginger
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp haldi (turmeric powder)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1. Begin by roasting the dal in a pan.
