BEST Strawberry Pretzel Salad

This salad is over the top with pretzels, a sweet and creamy cream cheese mixture, plus strawberries and strawberry jello. It is the perfect sweet and salty combination.

1st LAYER
3 cups pretzels, crushed
1 cup butter, melted
4 tablespoons sugar
Mix these ingredients together and press them into the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Take out of the oven and allow the pretzel layer to completely cool. For a special presentation, you could also use individual ramekins.
2nd LAYER
2 - 8 ounces packages of cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
9 ounces Cool Whip
Use an electric mixer to cream together the softened cream cheese and the sugar until fluffy. Turn the mixer off and fold in the Cool Whip. Add this cream cheese mixture to the cooled pretzel layer.
3rd LAYER
1 large 6 ounces box strawberry jello
2 cups boiling water
2-10 ounce packs frozen strawberries
Dissolve the jello in the boiling water. Add the strawberries to the jello mixture. Stir until thawed and set in the freezer 5 minutes. Pour over the cream cheese mixture and refrigerate.

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
