Black Pepper Tofu

Really, being cooked it tastes delicious! So let's try our savoury spicy curd bean with black pepper and master the healthy art of tofu! It's TOFUlly the right thing to do!

500 g firm tofu, cut into cubes
1 tbsp Vegetable oil for frying
15 ml vegetable oil for sauteeing
3 tsp cornstarch for the sauce ( 1 tsp. for dusting )
50 g red pepper, thinly sliced
20 g ginger, julienne
125 ml water
30 ml sweet soy sauce
30 ml light soy sauce
2 tsp palm sugar
1 tsp black peppercorns, slightly crushed
7 g spring onions for garnish
  1. Lightly dust tofu with cornstarch, shaking off excess.
  2. Pan fry in vegetable oil, turning occasionally until golden brown on all sides. Drain on paper towels and set aside.
