With a huge pile of blackberries and a blanket of lemon scented mascarpone under them. This Blackberry and Lemon Mascarpone Galette is everything you would want a galette to be.

For the Galette:
4 cups blackberries
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 (9-inch) store bought pie crust
1 egg yolk, lightly beaten
1 tablespoons turbino sugar (raw sugar)
For the Marscapone Filling:
1 (8ounce) tub of marscapone, softened
zest of one lemon
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons granulated sugar

3 eggs
1/2 c salted butter
1/2 c light corn syrup
1 t vanilla extract

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, cornmeal, cocoa and salt. Add eggs, melted butter, corn syrup and vanilla; mix well. Pour into unbaked pie crust.
