My favorite broccoli salad, with almonds, cranberries, and bacon in a yummy tangy sauce.

2 lbs fresh broccoli, cut into florets
1 cup mayonnaise
2 Tbsp cider vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/4 cup chopped red onion*
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1 cup toasted almonds

Blanch the broccoli in boiling water for 1 minute. Drain and allow to cool.
