Banana Brown Sugar Filling:
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
3 firm yellow bananas, sliced
French Toast:
8 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup half and half
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
15 ounces French bread, cut into large cubes
Crumb Topping:
1/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/3 cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

In a skillet, over medium heat, melt 6 tablespoons butter.
