BRUSCHETTA BURGER WITH CREAMY AVOCADO SAUCE

This is a healthy gourmet burger with a creamy avocado sauce and a tomato- basil topping to add more flavor and texture.

Burger
1 pound ground beef or ground turkey
4 ounces mozzarella cheese shredded
2 cloves garlic minced
Avocado Sauce
2 avocados peeled, pitted and chopped
1 cup mayonnaise or greek yogurt
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp garlic salt
dash of cayenne pepper
Bruschetta
4 large tomatoes
1 clove garlic chopped
1/4 cup fresh basil chopped
1 Tbsp olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
Toasted hamburger or ciabatta buns
Heat grill to high heat. Mix beef, cheese, and garlic. Form into 4 patties and make a depression in the center of each. Season with salt and pepper. Brush patties lightly with oil and place on the grill....

Marinated Taro Root

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
