Buttered Cinnamon Apples & Salty Candied Walnuts

Just the right mix of sweet & salty, a bit of crunch and lots of apples slathered in cinnamon & butter makes this the perfect fall dessert!

Salty Candied Walnuts:
100 grams walnuts, roughly chopped
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons white sugar
2 tablespoons water
0.75 teaspoon salt
1 pinch of cayenne pepper
Buttered Cinnamon Apples:
4 apples, preferably a sour kind, peeled and cut in bite-size pieces
4 tablespoons salted butter
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
To serve:
0.5 liter good quality vanilla ice cream

2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons white sugar
2 tablespoons water
0.75 teaspoon salt
