Doughnuts:
1 Tbsp. yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup buttermilk
3 Tbsp. melted butter
3 Tbsp. sugar
2 1/2 cups flour ( up to 3 cups )
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
oil for frying
2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk
  1. Dissolve yeast in water. Set aside for 5 minutes.
  2. Add buttermilk, butter, sugar and 1½ cups flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well.
