Cake Batter Frosting Funfetti Cupcakes

Birthday time in our household! We made these Cake Batter Frosting Funfetti Cupcakes for our son’s 8th birthday. We used a box cake mix and amped it up a notch with extra ingredients for a smooth, moist cupcake that does not taste like a box dessert and the Cake Batter Frosting is AMAZING! You could use this frosting recipe for a cake, cupcakes, sugar cookies or whatever else you can think of. Yummo!

Cupcake Batter
?1 box vanilla boxed cake mix, today we went with a Funfetti mix to celebrate birthdays
?3 eggs
?1 cup whole milk
?1 cup melted unsalted butter
?Frosting
?1.5 cups powdered sugar
?.5 cups yellow cake mix from the box
?1/3 cup heavy cream
?.5 teaspoon of vanilla extract
?6 tablespoons room temperature butter
