Simple to prepare and even better to eat, these Caramel Apple Cheesecake Bars capture the delicious flavors of fall!

1 cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup light brown sugar
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
Apples:
2 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and diced
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon white sugar
Cheesecake filling:
2 (8 ounces) packages cream cheese, softened
1 egg
½ cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ teaspoons apple pie spice
Dash of nutmeg
Streusel topping:
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup old-fashioned oats
¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
Caramel sauce, for drizzling

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)
