This aromatic chai spiced porridge recipe takes ordinary breakfast oats to a completely new level

1 cup porridge oats
1 cup water
3/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 teaspoon each ground ginger, cardamom, cloves, nutmeg
A good pinch of fine sea salt and black pepper
1 tablespoon sugar
Demerara sugar for serving (strongly recommended)
