CHEESE AND SAUSAGE BISCUITS

These cheese and sausage biscuits can be made on the weekend in 20 minutes and eaten throughout the week, or even made the night before. Got a little bit of time? Make an omelet style egg and place it inside the biscuit for even more nutrients!

2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/3 cup butter, diced and stashed in the freezer while your getting everything else ready
1/2 cup sharp cheddar, shredded
5 sausage links cooked, cut in pieces (we used Applegate)
1 cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/3 cup butter, diced and stashed in the freezer while your getting everything else ready
1/2 cup sharp cheddar, shredded
5 sausage links cooked, cut in pieces (we used Applegate)

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
In a bowl mix together your flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
Cut in your butter with a pastry cutter or fork, until you get a damp sandy looking mix.
