Cherry Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Decadent chocolate cookies that are so easy to make because of the secret ingredient.

8 Tablespoons butter, softened (almost melted)
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 chocolate cake mix (15.25 oz)
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup chopped maraschino cherries
1 cup chocolate chunks

Beat the butter, egg, and vanilla. Stir in the cake mix and mix well. Add the cream cheese and beat until creamy. Refrigerate the cookie dough for at least 30 minutes. Roll the dough into 36 cookie balls....
