A family favorite! Roast or grill this easy chicken shawarma recipe, a popular Middle Eastern street food with a flavorful, garlicky marinade, soft pita bread, and a cool and creamy yogurt sauce. Marinade:
1/2 c olive oil
2 T lemon juice
1 large clove garlic
1 T cumin
1 T smoked paprika
1 t turmeric
1 t sugar
1/2 t coriander
1/2 t cardamom
1/4 t cayenne
1/8 t allspice
For the Chicken:
2 lbs. boneless skinless chicken thighs
kosher salt and ground black pepper ( to taste )
