These chilli con meat balls is a delicious family meal consisting of a gorgeous tomato base sauce with homemade from scratch meatballs that are to die for. Served on/with rice. Pure deliciousness!

400 g mince meat I use beef 5%
1 onion
1 potato
2 cloves garlic
1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 egg whole
1 egg yolk
3 springs of herbs thyme, parsley, marjoram
400 g red kidney beans 1 can
400 g chopped tomatoes 1 can
1 tbsp tomato
1/2 small leek
1 small onion
2 cloves garlic
2 celery sticks
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp honey
1 tsp hot chilli powder or 1 level tbsp mild chilli powder ( heaping )
1 tsp paprika
1 beef stock cube
1 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp dried marjoram
120 g grated cheddar optional
to taste Plain boiled long grain rice to serve with
to taste Soured cream to serve (optional)
1 Thai red chili to decorate optional
1 red pepper
