1/4 cup warm water (100-110°F)
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups lukewarm milk (90-100°F)
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon apple pie spice
6 cups all-purpose flour
For the Glaze:
4 cups apple cider
5 cups confectioners' sugar
1/4 cup corn syrup
4 teaspoons apple pie spice
