These easy Brown Sugar Cinnamon Muffins are a simple make-ahead breakfast or a sweet afternoon treat to enjoy with a hot cup of coffee. The mile-high soft and fluffy muffins are moist, warmly spiced, and finished with a buttery cinnamon-sugar topping.

For the Muffins::
2 c all purpose flour
1 c packed light brown sugar
1 t baking soda
1 t ground cinnamon
1/2 t salt
1/4 t ground nutmeg
1/8 t ground allspice
1/2 c cold salted butter
1 c milk
1 egg
1 t vanilla extract
For the Topping::
2 T granulated sugar
1/2 t ground cinnamon
2 T salted butter ( melted )
