1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound chuck-eye steak ( cut into bite-size pieces )
1 1/2 cups chopped onion
1/4 cup crushed garlic cloves ( about 10 large )
1 1/2 tablespoons kosher salt
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
1 pound dried red kidney beans
1 (28-oz.) can crushed fire-roasted tomatoes
1 (8-oz.) can tomato sauce
3 cups unsalted chicken cooking stock
