Creamy Loaded Potato Soup

All the flavors of a baked potato in a thick and creamy soup.

9 large russet potatoes
2/3 cup unsalted butter
2/3 cup all purpose flour
6 cups fat free milk
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup bacon bits (in the bag)
4 green onions, chopped
10 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
8 ounces light sour cream
