Dal Makhani:
1 cup black urad dal
1/4 Cup red kidney beans (rajma)
1/4 Cup chana dal
1 medium - size onion chopped
2 green chilli chopped
1 inch piece of ginger, peeled and grated
1 Cup full fat milk
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
to taste salt
For Tempering::
2 tablespoon ghee (clarified butter)
pinch asafoetida (hing)
1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala
1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
For Garnishing::
1 tablespoon fresh cream
1 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves, chopped

Soak dal (lentils):

  1. To make Dal Makhani, first clean, rinse, soak urad dal and red kidney beans together for 6 hours or overnight in water. Soak chana dal for 1 hour in water....
