Decadent Hot Fudge Sauce
166
This simple to make hot fudge sauce is rich and silky smooth. A perfect finishing touch to an ordinary bowl of ice cream, it's also excellent paired up with any of your favorite recipes that call for hot fudge sauce. One of my favorite ways to serve it is with warm-from-the-oven brownies and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
12
1/3 cup heavy cream
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1 Tablespoon light corn syrup
pinch of salt
1 Tablespoon unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1 Tablespoon light corn syrup
pinch of salt
1 Tablespoon unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Combine all ingredients except butter and vanilla in a small saucepan. Bring
the mixture just to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. As soon as it
starts to boil, remove the pan from the heat. Stir in the butter and vanilla
and transfer the mixture immediately to a 12-oz mason jar.
Serve warm over ice cream.
Store any left-overs covered in the fridge. To reheat, place the jar in
a pan of simmering water for several minutes or microwave uncovered for
about 20-30 seconds on high.
Makes about 1½ cups of sauce.
