Double Chocolate Cherry Cookies are thick and chewy, complete with a cherry in middle and a delicious fudge topping on top!

Cookie:
3 1/2 cups flour
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups butter
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla
12 oz jar maraschino cherries, drained and cut in half
Fudge Topping:
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  2. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
