EASY HOMEMADE TOMATO SAUCE

Comfort food at it's finest. This homemade sauce is so SO easy and tastes so much better than the store bought. Fresh herbs and veggies make this refreshing classic come to life in just a couple hours.

1 medium onion, chopped
3 pounds of tomatoes, quartered (you can remove the seeds if you wish. I kept some in/removed some - or they fell out)
2 cloves garlic, minced
6 basil leaves, whole
2 sprigs, or so, of oregano
1/4 cup red wine
2 tbsp olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
