Because of these high levels of vitamins, it has been known to stimulate the immune system. Although several natural elderberry syrups are available at health stores or online, they usually for around $15 or more for 4-8 ounces (gulp!) But you can make your own for

**1 cup raw local honey
3 cups water
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 inch fresh chopped ginger root
**1 cup raw local honey
