Fresh strawberries are the star of this easy to make, delicious treat. Topped with an oatmeal and brown sugar crumble these bars explode with flavor, and a drizzle of almond icing puts this dessert right over the top.

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg ( slightly beaten )
teaspoon vanilla
1 stick butter plus 2 tablespoons ( softened )
3 cups fresh strawberries ( hulled and sliced )
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup brown sugar ( packed )
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup oatmeal ( uncooked )
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
drops of water ( if needed )
