FRUITY BULGUR WHEAT KHEER

Bulgur is extremely high in fiber and vitamin B-6 and has a low glycemic index, thus making it suitable for diabetics. Eating whole-grain foods like bulgur may lower the risk of developing cardiovascular disease. This recipe has high content of protein and fiber. It is also a source of good quality fats as it has walnuts and almonds in it.
100 ml Milk
1/2 tsp Cardamom (elaichi) powder
20 g Dates/fruits
1 tsp Walnuts/almonds
A few saffron (kesar) strands
Step 1 Wash and soak the bulgur wheat in ½ cup water for 15 to 20 minutes.
