Gnoochi - Italian Dumplings with Bacon

This recipe is a family favorite, which was passed down from my grandmother. Italian Dumplings with Bacon is a family treat and a comfort meal for any night of the week or a hearty meal on a winter night. You will enjoy this recipe.

1 lb package of potato gnoochi
1 cup of diced bacon (bacon bites can be used as well)
2 tbsp of minced garlic
2 tbsp of thyme
2 tbsp of butter
1 1/2 cup of peas
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 lemon juice
Bring a pot of water with salt to a boil. Add gnoochi and cook for 5 minutes. In large skillet add bacon and cook until slightly crisp, drain. Add garlic and thyme and cook for additional 30 seconds. Drain gnoochi and add to the bacon, Stir in butter, salt and pepper to taste and lemon juice and serve.
