Grandma's Stuffed Bell Peppers

6 Green or Red peppers
1 lb. ground beef
3 Tbsp. bacon grease
2 Cup stewed tomatoes
1 large onion, chopped fine
1 cup bread crumbs
1 tsp celery salt
salt and pepper to taste
Clean bell peppers, place in pan with water, boil 8 minutes. Brown ground beef and add all other ingredients. Then fill the pepper only half way. To keep peppers from burning, put 1/2 cup water in bottom of the pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
