Grandma's Texas Sheet Cake is a moist chocolate cake baked in a jelly roll pan and smothered with a rich, chocolate fudge frosting. The old-fashioned dessert is a crowd-pleasing treat for birthdays, potlucks, or just about any other special occasion!

For the Cake::
0.5 c salted butter
0.5 c shortening
1 c water
1/4 c unsweetened cocoa powder
2 c granulated sugar
2 c all purpose flour
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
2 eggs
1/2 c buttermilk
1 t vanilla extract
For the Icing::
1/2 c salted butter
1/4 c unsweetened cocoa powder
6 T whole milk
16 oz confectioners sugar
1 t vanilla extract
