Granny's Pumpkin Bread

2/3 cup shortening
2 2/3 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 1/3 lb. pumpkin
2/3 cup water
3 1/3 cup all purpose flour
2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. cloves
1 cup nuts, chopped
1 tsp. pumpkin spice
Oats (optional)
Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add rest of ingredients. Pour into 2 (9x5x3) loaf pans, greased. Sprinkle Oats to your liking on top if you want. Bake at 350 for about an hour and 10 minutes. Wrap in foil for 2 to 3 days. Tip: The long it sets, the better it tastes.
