Herb Garlic Mashed Potatoes

These easy to make mashed potatoes can be thrown in the crock pot for a few hours. A perfect side dish to bring to Thanksgiving dinner this year!

6 large russet potatoes
3-4 cloves garlic, minced
6 tbsp butter
½ cup milk
2 sprigs rosemary, leaf thingies chopped
2 cups water
1 tsp thyme
1 cup cheddar cheese (optional)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Peel and dice your potatoes and place in the crock pot. Add 2 tbsp butter, garlic, rosemary, and thyme to the potatoes. Add water and place your crock pot on 6 high. Stir potatoes roughly every 2 hours...

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
