2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups buttermilk
2 cups sour cream
2 large eggs
4 teaspoons vanilla extract
STEP 1: Whisk flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a large bowl. Set aside. STEP 2: Whisk together the buttermilk, sour cream, eggs, and vanilla extract in another large bowl.

water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
