Cooking from scratch is kind of trendy & because of that, homemade whatever is all over the internet & in cookbooks. The homemade thing is kind of in & I totally can see why (although at the same time, I can completely understand why some people choose to stay far, far away from making homemade foods). Cooking & baking from scratch is time-consuming, so you really have to be choosey about what you’re going to dedicate your time to. For awhile I was regularly making our own yogurt

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
3/4 cup flour
extra course kosher salt for sprinkling, optional
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
3/4 cup flour
extra course kosher salt for sprinkling, optional
Add all ingredients (except for the additional kosher salt) into a food processor & process until a dough forms (about 2-3 minutes).
Shape the dough into a disk & wrap it in plastic wrap. Refrigerate it...
