Homemade Pesto

This classic homemade pesto is made with fresh basil, cheese, nuts, and fresh arugula or kale. The sharp flavor and smooth texture!

about 1 cup
1 cup baby arugula or chopped kale
1 cup fresh basil
1/4 cup grated parmesan
1 Tablespoon fresh or dried parsley
2 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp. lime juice
6 unsalted almond (about 1 teaspoon)
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 tsp. salt
1 pinch pepper

In a small food processor or blender, blend until smooth. You can also use a mortar and pestle and press until smooth.
