This Honey Chicken recipe is velvety Asian chicken pieces fried to golden perfection and smothered in a sweet and spicy honey ginger sauce and sprinkled with green onions and toasted sesame seeds

Chicken:
1 1/2 lbs. boneless skinless chicken breast (or boneless skinless chicken thighs)
1/3 cup water
2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch
3 tablespoons vegetable or canola oil
2 teaspoons sesame seeds
2 green onions thinly sliced
Honey Sauce:
1/2 honey
3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
2 cloves garlic minced
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon grated ginger
1 tablespoon sambal oelek (ground chili paste)
1 tablespoon cornstarch
3 tablespoons chicken broth or water
  1. Add the chicken, water, and soy sauce to a bowl and marinate for 10 minutes. Stir in the cornstarch and 1 teaspoon vegetable oil. Marinate for another 20 minutes.
