Hot Buttered Rum

Also known as Hot Toddy, this class cocktail uses a spiced butter mixed with rum, hot water, and orange juice to make a drink worthy of winter and the holidays.

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ginger
3 cups boiling water
6 oz rum
2 oz orange juice
  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine the brown sugar, butter and spices until light and fluffy.
  • Portion 2 tablespoons of the spice butter into each cocktail glass.
